Week six brought Brad's first business trip...luckily, we also had a visit from Aunt Carolyn. Jackson enjoyed it as she took him for a run every morning - more exercise than he has had in a while. She also took Spencer on lots of walks throughout the neighborhood. Thank-you to Aunt Carolyn for a wonderful visit! Aunt Carolyn was able to get lots of quality Spencer time - she even babysat while I went to get my first haircut since Spencer was born. I even had time to get a latte afterwards...heaven! Thank-you again for an amazing visit!
Brad's birthday was Friday and to celebrate we went to Cannon Beach for the weekend. Spencer's first overnight trip! Our room had a fire-place and floor to ceiling windows across one wall. We had a wonderful time watching the storms roll in over the ocean all weekend. This picture was taken from our balcony. Spencer slept a ton and Brad managed to beat me at Monopoly...wild weekend! ;)

I had such an amazing visit with Oona and Spencer. As you read, Brad was out of town for most of my visit. At least I got in a nice visit on Friday morning.
I didn't think I would get very attached to Spencer because of his young age, but I actually became quite enchanted with this young fellow.
My favorite thing, I think, was putting him in the front carrier and going on walks around Portland. This was my first trip to Portland and I very much enjoyed it. I loved being able to look down and see that beautiful, sweet boy.
I was also impressed with how Spencer actually LIKES having his diaper changed. A couple times when I went to change his diaper he was fussing, but as soon as he realized where he was, he stopped fussing and was happy. Oona and Brad torn the cover to a Parenting Magazine with a mother and her daughter for him to look at while he's laying there. He seems to enjoying focusing on the picture. Thank you so much, Oona, Brad and Spencer for letting me come to visit. I went home a very happy auntie.
