Sleep..sleep...sleep! I never knew that I could be so obsessed with sleep! It seems like such a normal behavior..you yawn, you feel sleepy and then you fall asleep. Not for Spencer! For some reason, feeling sleepy makes him want to scream. Poor little man! ;) This week we are really trying to focus on getting him the sleep he needs. Unfortunately, the easiest place to put him to sleep is on my, or Brad's, chest. As Spencer needs about 16 - 18 hours of sleep per day, this is not exactly practical! So, we have been attempting to get him to sleep in his crib (what an idea). Basically, this entails rocking him until he falls asleep, gently placing him in his crib and then holding our breath for the next ten minutes hoping that he doesn't wake up. When he does wake up, we start the process all over again...
Not much else to report this week - he has already changed so much. He is still quite the eater and we are excited to see how much he weighs at his two month appointment in two weeks. He is smiling more and more and has started grabbing for toys if we put them in front of him. We try to do lots of "tummy time", however he is not a big fan ;) He is so much fun and Brad and I are having a blast with him!

Oh My, he is getting to be a little baby boy now and not a new born look. He has his fathers chubby cheeks.(did mommy have them too?) He is so cute and you guys are doing such a great job. He looks so happy and content. I look forward to my daily webcam visits with him. And can't wait until April. Love you guys.
